Oil Change?

I drive a 2003 (maybe 2002 I forget but its not any older than that) Cavalier. I was due for an oil change at about 45,000 miles which was in January. I didn't have the money at the time so I let it go, hoping to get it done soon. Its now April and I still havn't changed the oil, my miles are about 48,000ish. Is this horrible to do? Is my car going to break down on me? I'm planning on changing the oil soon, its just the money factor.|||well umm the long u drive without changing ur oil......u might crack the engie block and that is going to suck....so change the oil ASAP.......please....or u going to pay 10x more then the oil change for the engine block....so ummm the oil change only like 30 bucks...or just do it ur self...well a quart or oil is like 1.99 each and need like 5 quards...haha well and 5 or 6 bucks for oil filter......hope it helps....|||Its not good to keep putting it off just change as soon as possible and try to do on a more regular basis as oil changes are very important.|||it won't help you in the long run if you keep putting it off.|||Oil changes are about the most important maintenance thing you can do for your car. If you don't have money for an oil change (which is cheap compared to major repair)how will you pay for say a new engine???? Get the oil change!|||well its good to see that you are concerned.You should be ok for another 2000miles.but never go more than 5000 miles without an oil change in any car!!!!
