Should I change the oil earlier than usual if the oil is dirty?

I have a 1998 Toyota Sienna and did the stupid thing of going 10,000 miles on a single oil change with conventional oil. I rescently changed the oil and it was really dirty and sludgy. I rescently heard that in these circumstances you should change the oil again about two weeks after the oil change. Is this true? I did change the filter. Will I also need to change the filter again with the second oil change?|||It might be as well to change it again, the new oil should have loosened up any remaining sludge and will help to flush the engine out.

You used to be able to get a special flushing oil with added detergents to shift the stubborn stuff, not sure if it's still used these days as oils have improved over the years.|||You cud buy a type of special oil you put in with your regular oil and it should help get ride of that sluge and wait just couple days than flush out the oil and the slug should be gone but it could take couple years

|||Yes, change it Again. Imagine a carton of sour milk (dirty oil). You can dump the old milk out and fill it up with water (clean oil), but that water is going to have all that milk residue mixed in with it. So I would say yes, definitely change it Again.|||yes u have to chenge the filter every time and yes u should change the oil|||Yes change it and the filter.
